Timeless Dream Travels offers 6 days Umbwe course insight into Mount Kilimanjaro, Umbwe Route is the most troublesome course on Mount Kilimanjaro.

This course is suggested for climbers with an extraordinary climbing experience.

The course joins the Machame course at Barranco camp on a subsequent day.

Guests to this course will go through the principal night at Umbwe Cave camp.

This course takes at least six days.

The Umbwe Route is the most un-utilized and least swarmed contrasted with different courses on Kilimanjaro.

Climbers through the Umbwe route meet climbers from Machame and Lemosho route at Barranco camp.

Day 1 - Umbwe Gate to Cave Camp

Depart Moshi to Machame gate, upon arrival complete your registration. Your driver then proceeds to Umbwe gate, starts your ascent to the rain forest. During the trek, you will encounter rain and will animals before winding up your day at the camp.

Day 2 - Cave Camp to Barranco Camp

Start your ascent to heather and moorland where you will encounter different plant species with a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. This trail leads to Barranco valley and later to Barranco Camp with the spectacular view of the Western breach and Great Barranco Wall in the East.

Day 3 - Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

This day is designed for acclimatization. Today you will conquer the Great Barranco Wall with the view of the Heim glacier on the top if cloudless. The trail winds down to Karanga Valley. You will then proceed with a steep climb to Karanga Camp.

Day 4 - Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Today your trek involves a steep climb where you may have a spectacular view of Kibo peak. You will then proceed with your trek on the empty and dry landscape to Barafu Camp. You will arrive at the camp early, have a good rest before your summit trek around midnight.

Day 5 - Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp

Around midnight begins a steep climb over loose volcanic scree. A slow and steady pace will take you towards Stella point, take a short rest at Stella point (5685m), proceed with your ascent to Uhuru peak (5895m). You will normally encounter snow on your way to the peak. Spend few minutes on the top of the mountain and then descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before you proceed to Mweka Camp to wind up your day.

Day 6 - Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi

Today is the final day on the mountain; enjoy your breakfast before descending to Mweka gate passing through the forest zone. Upon arrival at the gate complete park formalities and tipping ceremony with your support team. Our driver will then transfer you to Moshi.
